IS LOCALTOPIA FAMILY-FRIENDLY?

Absolutely! There’s a whole Family Village for our local families to enjoy! Here’s what we’ll have at our 2020 festival:

The NOMAD Art Bus will be on 3rd Street (nearest 1st Ave N) for bus painting fun, alongside the makeme studio camper, “Miss Clementine,” which made its debut at the 2019 festival. Step inside for craft-making for all ages. On the other end of 3rd Street (nearest 2nd Ave N), you’ll find the Literary Corner with the Bluebird Books Bus, a “build your own book” activity, plus a book & zine exchange (bring a book, or take one home for a donation), plus book and letterpress vendors.

On the grass in the Family Village area inside Williams Park, you’ll find the St. Petersburg Science Festival, with activities showing that science is fun! You’ll also find Suncoast Martial Arts doing demos to help our local kiddos keep it healthy too!

Hoop and dance the day away by the Bandstand. On 2nd Ave N, you’ll find the games on the street. Also on 2nd Ave N, right by Restaurant Row, you can make some memories inside the Rollin’ Retro vintage VW bus photo booth.

We know it takes a village to raise a child. LOCALTOPIA has several villages! Check them all out HERE.

IS LOCALTOPIA PET-FRIENDLY?

Because we love our furry friends, we want to ensure that they (and our human friends) stay safe, so we request that you please leave pets at home. Thanks for your cooperation!

IS LOCALTOPIA ECO-FRIENDLY?

Every year we try to make our festival as sustainable as possible! As of our 2018 festival. we’ve eliminated single-use plastics & Styrofoam at the event! Not only are vendors committed to eliminating plastic, we’ve also gone one step further. KSPL does a bulk-buy of compostable items for vendors to use.

Our partnership with the City of St. Petersburg’s Sustainability & Resiliency Manager and the Suncoast Surfrider Foundation, allows us to incorporate more sustainable resources & initiatives.

We don’t just work to help Keep Saint Petersburg Local; we want to help keep it as green as possible too! As KSPL organizes one of our city’s largest events, we believe it’s our duty to lead by example. Localtopia has always included sustainability components, such as the Free Bike Valet, recycling bins on-site, vendors with eco-friendly/repurposed products. We want to continue to take steps forward to ensure a greener and more sustainable city, especially on the day when we host the largest “Community Celebration of All Things Local.”
